Aldgate
Aldgate
Aldgate was the eastern most gateway through London wall leading from the City of London to Whitechapel and the East End of London. Aldgate gives its name to the ward of the City. Aldgate is a great area to reside for City professionals as it has the key DLR link to Canary Wharf enabling easy and quick access to London’s new financial district. Due to its key location and popularity there has been a high volume of residential development over the years, which does mean that there is not much open space, but there are a few parks to be enjoyed. However this development has been accompanied with the benefit of having a great choice of restaurants and wine bars to enjoy after a hard days work.
